I can't believe that Matt and I are officially starting week 2 of the 21 Day Fix Extreme! Last week was downright HARD! #1 it was the first week of a new program and seriously I felt like I had 2 left feet! Those resistance bands and that church wrap thingy had me all confused! I am so thankful for moments like that where I workout at home by myself bc I looked ridiculous trying to get into those moves! But already in week 2 I am feeling much more confident! It was definitely a learning curve. So if you have your remote close by feel free to hit pause, assume the position and then restart. I found that pausing kept me from wanting to throw the band at Autumn's head!

So after doing an entire week of Autumn's workouts here is my review:
I did almost 2 full rounds of Insanity Max 30 and I definitely was in awesome shape but anytime you switch up your routine and do different exercises you challenge your body in a different way. Literally every inch of my entire body has been sore from the workout! It has taken a lot of will power to push through the muscle soreness and continue on with the workouts! But if your muscles are sore that is totally ok, you can still workout. It's only if you are truly injured that you must rest. So I did it! I pushed through, I drank a lot of water, I didn't follow the nutrition 100% and I had a few slip ups along the way but I feel like week 1 is always trial and error! Week 2 is where for me personally I can dial in the nutrition, I get focused and I really push myself harder!!!!!
My highlight of the week is Matt doing YOGA! Have you ever watched a man who has never done yoga before, do yoga?!? It's quite entertaining! But I give him props, he did a great job! He also said he actually liked it too!
|Beachbody OnDemand- Live Streaming Workouts|
This past week I had to travel for Beachbody. I am on the Coach Advisory Board (CAB) and I was in Sundance Utah for a meeting so I wasn't home to do my workouts with Matt. But, Beachbody is getting ready to launch Beachbody OnDemand and I have special access to the program to try before the rest of the public get it! So I was able to do Plyo Fix Extreme and I did the regular 21 Day Fix from my laptop streamed while in my cabin/hotel. So at least I didn't skip out on my workout, but the food is definitely harder when you travel!

So, personally here is my tip for you! Don't just commit to 21 days, the results happen in the 2nd and 3rd round when you have the hang of it, you push yourself, you cut out any cheat meals, you eat super duper clean and thats where you see the results just come to fruition! So can you promise me to give it at least 2 rounds of the 21 day fix extreme before you make your final judgement call? Also, I'm going to be doing 2 rounds of the fix extreme too! So you have a partner in crime!!!! DEAL!!!!!
So the workouts are all ready to go! Matt and I are doing this together and he is committed 110% to following the nutrition plan. As of yesterday he had lost 7 lbs already! So I'm super proud of him!!!

What's our nutrition plan look like this week!
This is our plan below for the week! On the way to my parents we chatted about what recipes we liked and what we wanted to do for the next week! We came up with a pretty great meal plan and I'm excited about it!
Last week we tried a few of the recipes in the nutrition guide and they were awesome!
The chicken Fajitas are definitely going into rotation along with the Chili and the Shakeology protein bars!!! The one breakfast recipe I could eat every day is the Peanut Butter and Berries Oatmeal, although I try not to eat oats every day this is a great winter comfort food!
This week I am going to try the Stew recipe and rotate some of our other favorites in there as well! I'm pretty pumped about the new recipes and the yummy foods! It definitely keeps it interesting!!!!!
For me I am really just trying to keep my energy balanced and keep myself performing at optimal performance!
So I am spreading my meals thru the day every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I am utilizing a variety of containers and eating my purple and yellow containers before 6 pm each day! I am not ready to dive into the countdown to competition plan but by round 2 that will be what I will be doing!
8 weeks until we leave for Cancun! So I have lots of work to do in the next 2 months! It's time to get my game face on!!!! BOOM! Lets do this!!!!
Oh and on my final note: Matt is at a higher container count than I am and he just has extra servings thru the day. For my kids, we all eat the same dinners. They may have an extra fruit or starch at dinner but otherwise we all eat the same! So I'm not double cooking.
