Today I was reading my personal development which I do daily because it just makes me more mindful that any struggle we have is real and if we want to continually grow and improve ourselves we have to invest in making ourselves better. It is not just about the physical exercise but its exercising your mind as well.
Today the topic was FEAR!!! The POWER OF FEAR! Seriously, the power of FEAR is REAL!! It is not something that is made up, but it is truly limiting in some of us.
Good fear is absolutely healthy and it reminds us that we really do want to change so bad and we are afraid because we do not want to fail.
- We are afraid of not being good enough.
- We are afraid of failing.
- We are afraid of success.
- We are afraid of change.
- We are afraid of what others will think.
- We are afraid that it could go right and then what!
Why are we so afraid? Why do we let FEAR dictate who we are?
Fear is the KILLER of your DREAMS it's the rain on your parade and it doesn't need to be that way!
Instead of looking at fear as something bad, turn it around and tell yourself that you are not being FAIR. Every time you begin to question yourself or feel that fear rising up, tell yourself that you are WORTHY of CHANGE, you are WORTH OF SUCCESS, and you ARE MEANT FOR GREATNESS.
Follow your FEAR because it is the GPS for where your SOUL wants to go!
I remember VIVIDLY almost 5 years ago the FEAR of getting older! The fear of losing my bodies changes after having kids. I remember how it felt to look in the mirror with utter disgust at the person starring back at me. It was absolutely the worst feeling in the world to truly HATE getting dressed every day!
I had NO clothes to wear because EVERYTHING hugged my muffin top.
My shirts magically were too short and heaven forbid I someone would see my wrinkly, post baby, stretch marked skin!
My hair was dull, my nails were brittle and I had NO ENERGY AT ALL!
I need an intervention now! So thankfully my now coach reached out to me because I was eating celery and peanut butter and had posted on Facebook about trying to lose weight. She invited me to join a challenge group and the rest is history!
That was the first step of the next 5 years of my life change!!!
I took a leap of faith, I trusted the process and while results didn't happen over night, they HAPPENED.
I went from pregnant, to post partum to losing 30 lbs in less than 9 months!
You can do it too!
That's why I started my blog originally. It was to journal my own progress along the way! Now I use it to share everything that has worked for me and to hopefully help you with your own health and fitness accountability too!
