P90X2-V-Sculpt Review

So yesterday was V-Sculpt day on the P90X2 schedule!  I am on my last 2 weeks of phase 2 and I'm starting to really see some amazing results!  I've got some ripped obliques and some crazy arm muscle starting to show through!  It's not big and bulky but very feminine!  My goal with P90X2 was to build lean muscle mass and to not look skinny thin but healthy and athletic.  I want to look like someone who works out and takes care of herself! LOL!

So, back to V-Sculpt!  It was seriously a beast of a workout!  It was by far my favorite workout of all P90X2.  V-Sculpt focuses on your back and biceps while using balance and core stabilization.
I see some muscles!

So for example you do stability ball lawn mowers.  Which is in a plank position with 1 arm on a med ball while you do a row with the other arm.  It's a beast but it forces you to hold your core stable while doing the row.  So you are targeting not only your arms, back and core all at the same time!  So you mix moves like that with crazy pull ups like all around the world pull up in which you pull up and then go in a circle and back to your starting position!
The entire workout is 22 moves over an hour and then you throw in some ab ripper x2 when you are done for a total body butt kicking!  But I feel so much stronger and I've upped my weights from 10 lbs to 20 lbs over the course of the past 60 days!

Breakfast of champions!
Since I workout so early in the morning I sometimes need a little extra kick in the pants to get going.  I usually start out with my pre-workout energy and endurance formula, log in to beachbody to log my workout and then I get started.  I follow up my workout with some results and recovery formula from beachbody to help replace lost electrolytes and rebuild lean muscle and reduce soreness.  Then, I grab a quick shower and head to the kitchen.  On morning workout days I have 1/2 cup oatmeal with 1 tbsp flaxseed and wheat germ, 1 cup blueberries.  In a separate bowl I mix 1 scoop vanilla protein powder with 1/2 cup almond milk and pour over top for a complete meal!  Then, I have my black cup of coffee and by that time the kids are about ready to wake up!  All this is done by 7:30 am and I don't have to worry about it for the rest of the day!

Post workout pic in all my glory!
Tomorrow is Plyocide!  Wish me LUCK!!!
