I will admit going into a house with 40 other women, some of whom I have never met and most of the girl have never even met one another was a little nerve racking. Planning food, assigning sleeping arrangements, organizing professional photos for each coach, and time to network, and have fun was quite a large job!

To say I was a little anxious is an understatement. But, what came out of those days together was amazing memories, new friendships, a lot of laughs, and a ton of learning and team growth!
I wanted to share with you a little bit about what the leadership retreat was and what we did to grow our teams unity and strengthen our skills.
I chose Destin Florida because I wanted a warm place, where we could swim, be outside and enjoy warm weather together! I found a house that could fit as many people as I could so that is why we chose this location!
Katy, Val and I chose to circle the retreat around the book, I Am That Girl. We really wanted everyone to develop their individual voice, story and passion for this business while on this trip.
So as the women arrived they were given a tank top that said #bethatgirl leadership retreat and this book! :) We decorated the house and assigned everyone a room with some buddies to get to know!

Friday morning we started out with either a Cize, Piyo or Insanity workout! I did the PiYo workout with certified trainer Nicole Estep around the pool. It was pretty incredible to start out the morning with these amazing women working out together doing what we love!

Friday we had a Photographer, Elizabeth Craig from the Pittsburgh Area come into town to take head shots for the girls businesses if they wanted them.
We also had a hair and makeup artist at the house for those that wanted it! There is something about getting all dolled up that just makes you feel like a million bucks!
Friday night we got together and dug into our very first topic. A huge part of your business is knowing WHY you are here and being able to effectively communicate your story. I will tell you that this is a difficult thing to do! Being able to write out your story, know WHY you MATTER and WHY you make a difference takes some serious brain power!
We talked about why your story is important, we split into groups and then discussed our stories amongst ourselves and then the assignment for the weekend was to tell your story or a key piece of the story on social media before the weekend was over!
When you posted your story you added your name to the bowl on the table. It was neat to see the stories begin to flood in over the entire weekend!!!
SATURDAY: Saturday we worked out! A little tabata, a little PiYo and Cize before we started our training with Corporate Trainer, Cim Carver!!! Cim discussed the importance of goal setting, of over coming fear, and ripping off the band aid and going for what you want!

After lunch we talked about creating a marketing plan for your business, how to grow your confidence and how to plant and harvest those seeds in your business with balance!

Saturday night after our training session was over we all headed to the Beach for a large team picture and back to the house for Mexican/Margarita night! We sat by the pool, roasted marshmallows, made s'mores and relaxed together.

On Sunday Morning we did another session on Getting New Coaches Started Right and Like Pages. We wrapped up at lunch time and headed down to the Beach for an afternoon of partying and fun!
It was nice after the 2 days of training to catch a break together, to absorb all the moments and to just laugh and have fun!!! I have never laughed so much in my entire life! From the dubsmashes, to finding everyone's talents, to the pranks we pulled on each other on the beach! It was just a great experience. There was no drama, no issues, just a lot of fun and great memories together.

I definitely have to STOP and give some mad props out to my wonderful husband who volunteered to come on this retreat with us. He cooked for all 43 women, he prepared, 3 meals a day, snacks, drinks and ran numerous trips to the grocery store while we were there! We truly wanted for NOTHING on this trip! He is an amazing man and he gave so selflessly to all of the women. He was the personal touch, attention to detail, just amazing hospitality and the trip wouldn't of been the same without him!!! Thanks BABE I love you!!!!

Team Retreats for me are essential to your business. Its something that requires you to leave your family for a few days, invest in travel and transportation but the value added is just beyond worth it!
I think the biggest take a way is that YOU can do this! You are not alone and that everyone is at the same place in their business! We are all trying to find those people that have the same drive and determination to be successful in this business. We are committed to success, we are committed to figuring it out and together we realize that we are in this together!
I know that out of this retreat are going to be some BIG shifts in these coaches lives! Their businesses are going to grow, they are going to set new goals, become stronger leaders and amazing brands! I even believe with my whole heart that the next top coach was sitting at that event!
I believe that every single coach MATTERS and you can truly be anything you want to be if you put your mind to it!
I love this part of my job! As much as I truly love seeing other people reach their health and fitness goals I love inspiring my coaches to reach for the stars, to dream big, to create a marketing plan and treat their business as if they are their own CEO!!!!
Taking that LEAP OF FAITH is where it all starts! If you want to be successful in life, you have to take a step forward, jump before you are ready and be willing to fail so that you can learn from the experience and become stronger and better!
